What will you learn during the Copywriting course?

In this three-day course you will learn the basics of copywriting. Good to know: you will attend the course together with other passionate marketeers, communication professionals and freelancers, you will learn with and from each other. The course is hands-on and practical. You will receive tools, insights, tips and tricks that you can put into practice immediately.

Copywriting with AI

Of course ChatGPT will also be discussed during the training. You will learn how to use this AI tool to improve the writing process and you will be given practical tips and handy prompts that you can use right away during the writing assignments in the training. Above all, you will learn what makes a text a good text. You need this knowledge to be able to assess the output of ChatGPT. The result: strong texts on your website, in your newsletter and/or on your social media channels.

Copywriting with AI

Day Part 1: Start with the basics
"Copy is not written. Copy is assembled," said well-known American copywriter Eugene Schwartz. That is why in the first part of the day you start with the basics - with what you need to create good copy. Using a copywriting framework, you examine in detail who you are actually writing for. Because copywriting means using the right words for the right reader. You will also be given handy copywriting formats. These are proven structures that help you put the right words in the right order faster.

Day 2: recruiting writing

The second training is packed with recruiting, conversion-oriented writing techniques. A little preview:

  • You'll learn what doubt words are and why it's better not to use them;
  • You learn how to write to the point;
  • You practice rhythm, because well-written copy alternates long sentences with short(er) ones;
  • You practice the concept of "show, don't tell," or in other words, visual writing;
  • You will learn two useful methods - the spotlight method and the now and method - for writing reader-focused copy;
  • You'll discover how to turn hollow barrels and clichés into concrete language - and why this is so important for your copy;
  • You'll learn to play with positive and negative language.

Copywriting Training

Daypart 3: dotting the 'i'

This last part of the day contains the head, the tail and everything in between. A little preview:

  • You learn how to write enticing titles (with the help of clever formulas and frontloading);
  • You learn two new techniques to keep the reader reading: the short starter technique and the bucket brigade technique;
  • You discover the ground rules for such things as headings and bullet points;
  • You practice writing call-to-actions;
  • You learn all about microcopy: the small(st)details that can make the difference.

What is the course load?

This course consists of three half-day sessions. After each session you will have the opportunity to hand in a homework assignment, on which you will receive extensive and personalized feedback before the next training session. This allows you to achieve a lot in a short time.
