Nicole Schreurs has worked in various positions at Rhenus Road in Venlo for over thirty years. She currently holds a double position in the field of management support and HR and recruitment. Because this is a relatively new world for her, she took several digital recruitment training courses at Adwise Academy. "I am now discovering which tools we need to have in order to be on the ball myself."
Nicole emphasizes that she is not a "real recruiter. Because she knows the organization through and through and has held various management positions, Rhenus' HR Manager Netherlands knocked on her door to see if she wanted to take on recruitment duties. "We were often using external agencies to fill our vacancies. But the job market is booming and costs are skyrocketing. In order to gain more control over the process as well as the costs, we decided to take matters more into our own hands," Nicole explains.
She has been conducting job interviews and managing various departments for a long time. "I grew up in the freight forwarding world and know what our organization needs and who does and does not fit well with our culture. Because I've been working there for so long, I've become Rhenus' go-to person for questions. So I understand that they thought of me for recruiting new talent for the Road division. I really like that variety myself."
